DAY 1(11th December,2009)
A) CONFLUENCE
1) Each school should send only one team comprising two members,
one speaking for the motion and the other against the
motion.
2) An elimination round will be held two days before the final
round of the debate i.e., on 9th December,2009. at 8:30
a.m.in the school auditorium .
3) The teams qualifying in the elimination round shall move to
the next level (final round ) to be held on 11th
December,2009.
4) Each speaker will speak for 3 minutes. A warning bell
will be rung after 2.5 minutes.
5) A rebuttal session of 1 minute will be held just after the
speaker delivers his/her speech.
6) The rebuttal questions should be brief and precise and should
be related to the speaker’s speech.
7) The topic of the elimination round is:
"IT IS TIME FOR HUMANS TO COLONIZE SPACE".
The topic for the final round will be announced after the
elimination round.
DRESS CODE
GIRLS : Salwar suit.
BOYS : Trousers / Jeans and plain Shirt/ T-Shirt.
Note :

B) B-LOGICAL
1) Each school should send only one team comprising two members.
2) A set of 60 questions with four options will be asked
.Participants are
expected to answer using the computer only.
3) No written material will be allowed in the computer lab .
Participants
will be provided with a sheet of paper for rough work.
4) There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
ASTRO WIZARD
1) Each school should send a team comprising two participants
for this event.
2) Astro Wizard is an event to test the participant's knowledge
in astronomy.
3) This event will be conducted on paper.
4) There will be 60 objective questions.
5) There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
SPIDER'S JOB
1) Each school should send only one team comprising two members.
2) The topic will be given on the spot.
3) In this event the participants will design a website based on
the given
topic.
4) The participants may use the following :
• JavaScript and Hyper Text Markup Language(HTML).
• Encarta and clip art for pictures.
5) Participants will not use any external material (eg CDs etc.)
.
BREAKING NEWS
1) Each school should send only one team comprising two members.
2) The topic will be given on the spot.
3) Based on the topic each team will write an article of 450-500
words
with supporting cartoons.
4) The illustration and the article should reflect the same
idea.
5) Illustrations should be in pencil only.
CARVE D SHADOWS
1) Each school should send only one team comprising two members.
2) Participants will make models with the materials provided.
• 1 KG sheet.
• Thermocol base for model.
• Pins .
3) Participants will bring their own adhesive and cutting
material
PROBLEM SOLVING
1) Each school should send only one team comprising two
members.
2) Participants are expected to write a programme in Java
Programming Language using BlueJ platform.
3) Participants will be provided with sheets of paper to plan
out their programme logic.
DAY 2(12th December,2009)
TECHNAD
1) Each school should send only one team comprising three
members.
2) Technad consists of three sections-Model Making , preparation
of Power Point Presentation and Presentation of Project ,
all of which are an integral part of the event.
i) Model Making
a) The participants will have to design a product with the
material provided to each team.
ii) PowerPoint Presentation
a) The participant will prepare a Microsoft Power Point
Presentation,( Tools- Encarta , Photoshop )
b) One computer will be provided to each team
iii) Presentation .
a) Each team will have to present their product on the stage
along with the PowerPoint Presentation and explain the
importance and the working of their respective models.
b) Each team will be given eight minutes from setting up of the
model to the completion of the presentation.

SHOW DOWN
1) This is a computer game competition.
2) Each school should send only one team comprising 5 members.
3) Duration of the various levels of the gaming sessions are as
follows :
Elimination round : 15 minutes
Quarter finals : 15 minutes
Semi final : 20 minutes
Finals : 30 minutes
4) The winners of each gaming session will be declared on
knock-out basis.
5) Participants may bring their own headphones.
6) Each team will be provided with five PCs.
7) The teams will play against each other on LAN.
8) Schools will be divided into pool A and pool B.
ASTRO QUIZ
1) Each school should send only one team comprising three
members.
2) There will be a preliminary round.
3) Five teams will qualify to the finals. |
